Share the Good News of Jesus Christ
Every shoebox gift delivered by Operation Christmas Child is a tangible expression of God’s amazing love, but a shoebox is just the beginning. In the hands of local churches, every gift-filled shoebox is a tool transforming the lives of children and their families around the world through the good news of God’s greatest gift, Jesus Christ. As shoebox gifts are distributed, local pastors or church leaders present the Gospel in a fun way designed for kids, while family and friends listen in. Along with their shoebox gift, children can also choose to take a copy of The Greatest Gift, a colourful presentation of Bible stories in their own language.
At FAITH, we will be collecting appropriate items each month. A list will be available at Connection Center. These items will be used in November at our Annual Packing Party, where families join together to fill the boxes with the items we collect throughout the year . We encourage you to include a personal note along with a picture of your family in the box so the child who receives it will be able to have a better connection to the sender.
