Our mission

We want you to know Him — not just know about Him.

Our desire is simple: we want to welcome you and your friends, teach you the gospel, and walk alongside you as you learn what it means to put on the full armor of God.

We want Shield of Faith to be a place where you can:

  • Know and understand the Gospel.
  • Grow in your relationship with Jesus.
  • Build genuine friendships with other believers.
  • Ask honest questions about faith and life.
  • Learn how God's Word applies to the world you live in.
  • Discover what it means to live boldly for Christ.
  • Learn how to stand firm when life gets difficult.
  • Invite your friends into a community where they'll be welcomed and loved too.

We don't expect you to have everything figured out before you walk through the doors. We want you to come as you are.

Our hope is that, over time, you won't simply know about Jesus, but will increasingly know Him, follow Him, and learn to stand firm in your faith.
Weekly rhythm

Every Sunday night.

Our Sunday night gathering

Shield of Faith

Sunday nights at 6, you'll gather at FAITH's Youth Center to build relationships, have fun, study God's Word, discuss what you're learning, and grow together in a place where you're known.

Why "Shield of Faith"?
"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."

Ephesians 6:16

The name reflects our mission — helping you put on the full armor of God and learn to stand firm in your faith.

Parents, this is for you too!

Grow alongside your student.

One of the things we're particularly excited about is the opportunity for parents to grow alongside their students. During the same time that Shield of Faith meets, Aimee and Kenny Killian will be hosting a small group for parents of students at their home in Country Club, directly across the street from FAITH.

Childcare will be provided at FAITH's Youth Center for youth ages 12+ while parents participate in the small group.

Our hope is that Sunday evenings can become a time when the whole family is growing together: students learning and growing through Shield of Faith while parents have an opportunity to connect, study God's Word, and encourage one another.

What you can expect from us

Welcoming, safe, fun, and centered on Christ.

We want you to know that we take the responsibility of caring for you seriously. Our goal is to create an environment that is welcoming, safe, fun, and centered on Christ. We want you to know that you are loved, that your questions are welcome, and that God's Word speaks into every part of your life.

We also want to walk alongside your family, not replace it. Your parents have the greatest influence on your life, and we want to support them in that — not compete with it.

Reach out.
We'd love to meet you.

Email youth@welcometo.faith and Nick Holmes, our Student Ministry Director, will get back to you. Or just come on a Sunday night at 6 — bring a friend, or come by yourself to meet the leaders first.
